STRATEGIES:

Each Autumn we have plenty of strategies to choose from when you take to the “field” in pursuit of a record book whitetail buck.  One could elect to buy a hunt from an outfitter and hope for the best.  One could hunt public ground.  One could purchase a farm to hunt.

OR you could consider obtaining a great lease in the Midwest.  We have some of the best properties available. And to kill big whitetails, you need to have an outstanding property.

ADVANTAGES OF A HUNT LEASE:

  • MONEY:  If you elect to buy a hunt from an Outfitting Service, you may pay more for the outfitted hunt than an entire lease.  Keep in mind, a group of hunters may elect to lease a large property in order to save money.  You can find a lease to match your budget, whatever it is.
  • TIME:  Here is a wise piece of advice.  Taking record book whitetails requires time in the woods.  Usually, you only have 4 or 5 days on an outfitted hunt. On a hunting lease in the Midwest, you can hunt as much as you want.  And the cost could be equivalent or less than the outfitted hunt.
  • PRIVACY:  Electing to hunt public ground can be a big mistake, as public deer are spooky and educated whitetail deer.  It's never fun hunting “spooked” whitetails.  In a lease situation, you control the amount of hunting on your farm as the lessee.
  • DRESSING IT UP:  If you have a lease, then you can enhance it with feeders and mineral licks, staying within the rules and regulations for the state of Missouri.  Dressing up your farm with attractants will bring in more deer.
